As for the msvcr70.dll getting removed if you uninstall it i have did a search on my pc and found the file in (C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEMS32)and copied it to a safe location and will simply copy it back if and when i choose to uninstall this giveaway i have tried using the link for the msvcr70.dll file that some have links to on here before but windows refuses to use that file because it's an old version of it." Software that will meet your demanding needs"Ĭool Edit Pro is an audio package to help users record and later edit audio tracks.

As for this offer today it's not bad but i find it lacks many features that audacity has and i would miss those features if i went with this one instead so i'll just keep this one and audacity installed to.

Installs fine on xp sp2 program has some good features that some may like that include text to speech recording and the timer record functions but i think audacity has alot more features than this offer and it also has a lot more filtering effects and plenty of open source plugins available for it and of course it's free and may seem too complicated at first but take the time to learn it and you'll be glad you did. I've converted lots of albums, edited concerts from XM radio, added "life" to lots of MP3 files, fixed volume differences, recorded on-line conferences and internet radio broadcasts. Well worth the $$$$.Īnd no, I don't work for Magix, I'm just a long time fan. Simply amazing! It's not "perfect" but unless you remember exactly where you made such changes, they're not easy to find again.Īnd no, I don't work for Magix, I'm just a long time fan. you draw a rectangle representing a specific frequency and time range on a graph of the music and ACL removes the section without harming the rest, and magically blends everything back together. Using ACL's "Spectral" editor, I've been able to remove microphone feedback or at least make it much lower volume, or remove a yell buy some stupid person sitting next to the microphone, all without much impact on the rest of the music - I'm not talking about a quick fade-out/fade-in.

One click and a few seconds and the audio is great! I have lots of live recordings that need fixing, and one of my favorite tricks with ACL is to tell it to make the file I'm editing sound like a live concert or one of several other built-in options. Many wizards to make is simple as you want, or you can use the power to get exactly what you want.

It's got equalizing, multi-band compression, sample a noise and remove it from the whole recording, fix problems with hum and hiss, pops, crackles, add reverb, surround sound, analog tape simulator (to add the "warmth" that most digital files lack). I'm most impressed with the power of the sound processing tools. It gives excellent control over editing sound files, recording (even allows scheduled recording), lots of options for saving work as CD. It's one of my favorite programs, check it out at about $40 US but you can find it on sale sometimes. I've been using ACL for about 8 years now, upgraded several times, and version 12 runs fine in Vista.

One alternative I haven't seen listed here is Audio Cleaning Lab from Magix, a German company. seems like a capable program, easy to use, and it's filters are handy tools to have.
